Earleir today the Police Unity Four Bicycle Tour passed through Mount Vernon district en route to Washington, DC. The tour is a three-day event that had riders start in Richmond and travel through much of Virginia before stopping in the nation's capital. Funds raised for the event go towards the National Law Enforcement Officers' Memorial and Museum. The Policy Unity Tour began in New Jersey in 1997, this was the first year that Chapter IV in Virginia participated and officers from Fairfax County were part of the contingent. Special thanks to Marcia Hanson who snapped the accompanying photos.
