The Student Council Association (SCA) at Lorton Station Elementary School recently conducted a food drive to add to the coffers of the Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC). The students brought in a total of 1,359 pounds of canned food, diapers, shampoo and so forth to help fill up the shelves of the . Mrs. Engelbrektsson’s fourth grade class contributed over 300 items to win an ice cream party. This is the that was sponsored by the SCA at Lorton Station for a grand total of 3,645 pounds of donated food. In addition, the SCA collected and donated nearly 600 hats, scarves, gloves and mittens in December. A hearty thank you to the kids at Lorton Station for making Lorton a little bit better.
