SCAA Colts Stage Comeback to Remain Unbeaten
One of three undefeateds in the division
The SCAA 5/6B Lacrosse Lady Colts presented their moms with the perfect Mother’s Day gift this past weekend in the form of a victory over Alexandria. They also presented their moms with some drama as they fell behind 4-0 in the first three minutes before storming back for a 13-8 win.
The Colts could have had a lot more than 13 scores as three shots clanged off the goal post and their were stymied numerous times by strong Alexandria goaltending. The keys to the comeback were adjustments to positioning and personnel assignments which got the squad back on track.
Leading the scoring for SCAA was Kristin Rabil who netted four goals before switching to defense. Hannah Balow added three goals and Ashley Vinger and Grace MacDonald scored two each. Keighan Speer had a goal and two assists. Starring on defense were Diana Logue, Haley Denehy and Jessica Mullany In goal, Jessica Ross kept Alexandria scoreless for the last 17 minutes of the game.
