SCAA Colts Take Two, Unbeaten Regular Season in Sights
Wins Southeast Division Championship, will take on Stafford this weekend
Two games, two wins, one Southeast Division Championship. The SCAA Colts 5/6 B Girls Lacrosse team had a doubleheader last weekend and needed to win both if they wanted to keep their unbeaten season alive and clinch their division. They did both.
The first win came against an undermanned Prince William squad, 14-2. With a large early lead and second game coming afterwards, the coaches substituted liberally and saw little drop-off in performance.
Leading the scoring charge were Hannah Balow with three goals, Grace MacDonald with two and one each for Cassidy Donaghy, Maddie Heilbrun, Rachel Robinson, Keighan Speer, Hannah Ross, Emily Sullivan, Izzy English and A.J. Vinger.

The second game was another matter, as the Colts took on a previously unbeaten Fort Hunt team. After a one-hour rain delay, SCAA jumped out to a quick start en route to a 10-5 win.
According to the coaching staff, defense was the difference, particularly Diana Logue, Haley Denehy, Jessica Mullany, and Maddie Heilbrun. They kept a powerful Fort Hunt team in check, one that had averaged 12 goals a game. held an offensive unit that was averaging 12 goals a game to only 5 goals.
