Series Of 7-Eleven Robberies Linked To 21-Year-Old Lorton Man: Police

Police arrested a 21-year-old Lorton man in connection with a series of robberies at a local 7-Eleven, Fairfax County police said.

LORTON, VA — Fairfax County police arrested a 21-year-old Lorton man in connection with a series of robberies at a local 7-Eleven.

Anis Sesay entered the 7-Eleven at 9402 Richmond Highway in Lorton shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday and assaulted an employee, took an unknown amount of money and ran from the store, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. The employee suffered minor injuries.

The store employee called a Fairfax County police detective, who was investigating a robbery that occurred at the same store on Saturday. The detective directed patrol officers to the area and provided a lookout.

Police officers found Sesay in a nearby neighborhood and apprehended him after a brief foot chase, according to the FCPD.

Detectives determined Sesay was connected to two additional robberies at the 7-Eleven on Oct. 1 and Oct. 7, police said. He was charged with three counts of robbery. Sesay is being held without bond at the Adult Detention Center, according to police.
