Julie Coryell, 46, of Woodbridge was arrested and charged Tuesday with attempted malicious wounding, hit and run and two counts of reckless driving, according to Fairfax County Police.
Originally, police had taken her to a mental facility and said that she would not face charges. "After further investigation and consultation with the Commonwealth's Attorney’s Office, it was determined that probable cause existed to obtain warrants with regard to the road rage incident..." police said Wednesday.

The incident took place on Friday, March 25, in the 8900 block of Ox Road, where officers arrived after they received a report about a man and woman arguing.
Police say that shortly after 7 a.m., a man was driving northbound on Ox Road and was struck from behind by another vehicle, police said. It appears that it was not an accident but an intentional act.
The victim sought refuge at a local shopping center, where a witness called the police to report a male and female arguing in the parking lot. The victim exited his vehicle and the female suspect allegedly attempted to strike him with her car, described by police as a red convertible. The victim was not injured, according to police.
"She said that I was in ISIS. She said that I had been following her since 3 a.m., and she said I need to go back to my country," the driver told ABC-7. The victim told the TV station that the woman ran her red convertible into his car several times. The victim went into the Giant store, and she followed behind him, yelling about ISIS and employees called Fairfax County Police, the TV station reported.
