Workhouse Executive Director Resigns

Lorton Arts Foundation Executive Director Sharon Mason has tendered her resignation. The Lorton Arts Foundation manages and operates the Workhouse Arts Center. According to Rich Wolford, Director of Development, Mason resigned last week.

Mason had been the executive director since March of 2009, after taking over for Tina Leone. Reasons for Mason's resignation were not given.

Wolford also indicated that a search committee will be formed to find a replacement for Mason. The search is expected to be national in scope.
