Only a small number of residents were affected by the outage.

A small number of residents in Gainesville weren't able to dial E-911 Thursday afternoon because of a vehicle crash that disrupted phone and internet service in the area, Prince William County Police said.
Just before 5 p.m., police said a crash in the 14100 block of Estate Manor Drive in the Gainesville area of Prince William County affected Comcast service to about 60 customers.
As a result, these residents are not able to dial E-911.
At 5:30 p.m. police said Comcast crews expected to have service restored before 7 p.m.
