Burglar Tries To Tunnel Into Home In Manassas: Police

Authorities are looking for someone who apparently tried to tunnel into a home in Manassas, according to Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA—Authorities are looking for someone who apparently tried to tunnel into a home Tuesday, March 26, in the 7000 block of Somerset Lane, according to Prince William County Police.

Shortly before 11 a.m., police arrived at the scene for a reported burglary earlier that day around 12:30 a.m. The homeowner reported seeing an unknown person inside an attached shed to the residence. Turns out an above-ground hole had been dug from inside the shed to the home.

No entry was made into the home, and no items were reported missing. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
