MANASSAS, VA—A woman has been arrested for her role in a Thursday night crash that left two people—including her—hospitalized when a police cruiser was hit by her vehicle at the intersection of Piper Lane and Nokesville Road, according to Prince William County Police.

Tracey Suzanne McMillan, 57, of the 11000 block of Beamer Way in Manassas, was charged with reckless driving. The officer, alert and conscious immediately after the crash, was extracted from his cruiser by PWC Fire and Rescue personnel. He was treated and released from the hospital Friday. McMillan suffered minor injuries.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., police responded to the scene for a reported crash. They found that the officer—on a green light—was making a left turn from Piper Lane onto southbound Nokesville Road when a woman in a northbound Ford Edge blew past a red light and collided with the cruiser.
