Fall 4 Fur, Carmello's Wine Dinner, Health Flu Clinic and Scholarship Scrap booking Event
Plenty to do this week in the Manassas area.

Fall 4 Fur, a two-day adopt-A-thon is from 9 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Prince William County Animal Shelter. The event is a combined effort of the county and the Prince William Humane Society.
The event will feature special adoption promotions, discounts and free spaying and neutering for pets adopted during the event. Refreshments and Halloween treats will also be served. Get more info at PWHumane.org. The shelter is located at 14807 Bristow Rd in the Manassas area of the county.
Carmellos and Morais Vineyards of Bealeton, Va. are hosting a Fall Wine Dinner on Thursday at the Old Town Manassas restaurant. The $75, five course meal pair entries from Carmello's fall menu with some of the finest selections rom Morais Vineyards.
The menu includes:Clam Cataplana, clams with coriander cilantro broth, served with Morais Vineyards Battlefield Green Wine; Spinach Salad with toasted walnuts, goat cheese, cherry, tomatoes, citrus vinaigrette, served with Morais Vineyards Rose; Braised Rabbit with fennel, leek and orange, paired with Morais Vineyards Touriga National; Beef Short Rib, with carrots and pickled shallots, paired with Morais Vineyards Cabernet Franc; and Poached Pears with moscatel wine syrup, served with Morais Vineyards Moscatel.

The Prince William Health District Flu Clinic is from 11 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Manassas Park Community Center in Manassas Park. Flus shots are free for those 3 years old and older, while supplies last. The community center is at 99 Adams St. get more info at vdh.virginia.gov/LHD/PrinceWilliam.
The National Drug Take-Back Initiative is from 10 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Manassas City Police Department. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and local law enforcement are working together to prevent drug abuse and theft through the event. All drugs will be accepted for disposal, no questions asked. For more information, call the Manassas City Police Department Community Services Section at 703-257-8092. The police department is at 9518 Fairview Ave. in Manassas.
Xi Delta Gamma’s Scholarship Fund Crop Scrapbooking event is 9 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Bethel Lutheran Church at 8712 Plantation Lane in Manassas.
For $30 get: a reserved spot, make and takes, use of a cricuit, door prizes and lunch and dinner. Consultants from scrapbooking companies like Creative Memories, Close to My Heart and Stampin' Up will be at the event. Email Julie Brill at Julie.Brill@opm.gov to serve a spot.
