Fugitive Arrested For Motel Assaults In Manassas: Police
A man wanted for assaulting two people, including an employee, at a Days Inn in Manassas, was found and arrested in Harrisonburg: Police.
MANASSAS, VA—A man wanted for assaulting two people, including an employee, March 24 in the Days Inn at 7249 New Market Court in Manassas, was found and arrested April 4 in Harrisonburg following an investigation, according to Prince William County Police.
Michael Wallberg, 31, of the 5000 block of Cherokee Run Court in Haymarket, was charged with one count of strangulation and two counts of assault and battery.
Around 12:45 a.m., police were summoned to the scene for a reported assault. They found that a woman, 23, and Wallberg had been involved in an argument that escalated, during which he hit her in the upper body while they were in a hotel hallway. An employee, a 24-year-old man, saw the fight and separated the two.

While helping the woman recover her property, the employee was assaulted by Wallberg, who wrapped his arm around the employee's neck. The employee extricated himself and Wallberg left the hotel.
