Man Shot By Unknown Assailant In Gainesville: Police

Authorities are looking for an unknown person who shot a man early Sunday in Gainesville, according to Prince William County Police.

GAINESVILLE, VA—Authorities are looking for an unknown person who shot a man early Sunday in the 14000 block of Deming Drive, according to Prince William County Police. The man, 32, was taken to an area hospital with injures not considered life threatening.

Shortly after 3 a.m., police responded to the scene for a reported shooting and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. They provided first aid before he was transported to an emergency room. Officers found the victim was in the area near Deming Driver between 2-3 a.m. when he was shot by an unknown person.

Police say the incident is not believed to be random. Anyone with information is urged to call authorities at 703-792-6500.
