Man Stabbed, Robbed Victim In Manassas: Police
Police say the victim was visiting when the suspect stabbed him and took his money.

MANASSAS, VA — Authorities are looking for a man accused of armed robbery and stabbing the victim. A release from the Prince William County Police Department says Elmer Joel Garay Varela, 24, stabbed and robbed a 39-year-old man on Dec. 8.
Around 9:40 a.m., police were called to the 8100 block of Community Drive in Manassas to investigate a stabbing and robbery.
The victim told police he was visiting an apartment with other unknown people and, while he was there, two men demanded money and stabbed him in the upper body, police say.

The men ran off with cash.
Police say the victim later contacted police about the incident and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Witnesses provided information that led to police to secure a warrant against Varela, whom they took a booking photo of in 2014. They accuse him of robbery and malicious wounding.
Valera, of the 8100 block of Community Drive in Manassas, is a Hispanic male, five feet and five inches, weighs about 150 pounds and has brown eyes.
Detectives are investigating the other suspect, who is described as a Hispanic male, 14 to 18 years old, five feet tall, weighs about 120 pounds and has dyed blond hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue pants.
