Mulch Fire In Prince William County Extinguished At Landscaping Company

NOKESVILLE, VA — A mulch fire in Nokesville prompted a response from Prince William County Fire and Rescue overnight Sunday.

Units responded around 3:01 a.m. Sunday to the 13200 block of Farmview Road in Nokesville. Firefighters found a large mulch pile that had caught fire at the Site One Landscape Supply Company. There were no reported injuries.

The fire department contained the fire and said it would take several hours to extinguish. There was no apparent threat to the community after the fire department responded on scene. Residents in the immediate area may have noticed a wood burning smell when the fire was active.
