Naked Man Tries To Taser Cop In Manassas: Police

A naked man knocked a cop to the ground, took his Taser and tried to fire it at him in Manassas, according to Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA—A naked man knocked a cop to the ground, took his Taser and tried to fire it at him in the area of Coverstone Drive and Sage Street Friday afternoon, April 12, before fleeing and later being found and arrested, according to Prince William County Police.

Thomas Ellis Jackson, 37, of the 100 block of Manassas Drive in Manassas Park, was charged with two counts of assault & battery on LEO, one count of disarming a law enforcement officer, one count of resisting arrest, one count of robbery, one count of indecent exposure, one count of grand larceny, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of public intoxication.

Shortly after 2 p.m., an officer came across a naked man at the aforementioned location. When the officer tried to detain him, a struggled ensued and Jackson hit the cop, knocking him to the ground. Jackson then took the officer's Taser and tried to fire it at him.

He then fled on foot, still holding the Taser. Responding officers found him in the area of Davidson Place. One of the cops tried to detain Jackson before a second struggle ensued. Other officers intervened and Jackson finally was subdued. No injuries were reported and the Taser was recovered.
