NoVA Veterans Parade To Prompt Road Closures In Manassas

The 16th annual Northern Virginia Veterans Parade will be held in downtown Manassas, prompting road closures.

MANASSAS, VA — A parade honoring veterans will be held in Manassas Saturday, prompting road closures downtown.

The Northern Virginia Veterans Parade, hosted by VetPar Inc., will be held for a 16th year on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. Some of the participants in the parade are elected officials, Manassas City Police Color Guard, pipe bands, marching bands, several American Legion Posts, Greater Manassas Volunteer Rescue Squad, a Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and many more.

The parade route starts on Prescott Avenue at Quarry Road, continues onto Center Street and ends at the reviewing stand at West Street and Center Street.

A block of West Street between the train tracks and Center Street will be closed from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m. Numerous blocks of Center Street and blocks of West Street, Battle Street, Main Street and East Street will be closed from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parking will not be open at the Church Street Lot, Harris Pavilion Lot, Water Tower Lot, and Candy Factory lot due to the parade route. The Train Depot lot and City Hall lot will be handicap parking only. The 9102 Prince William Street garage, Prince William Lot and Main Street lot will remain open.
