Manassas police investigating hit-and-run (dcnewsnow.com) — Manassas City Police are investigating a hit-and-run after a silver Hyundai allegedly ran a red light at Sudley and Stonewall roads on Dec. 30, injuring people in two other cars. The Hyundai’s occupants ran off and were likely picked up by another vehicle, and anyone with information is urged to contact police as the case remains open.
4. Manassas family welcomes first baby of the year (princewilliamtimes.com) — A Manassas family rang in 2026 by welcoming baby girl Ailany, the first birth of the year at UVA Prince William Medical Center in Manassas. Delivered at the Hylton Family Women’s and Children’s Center, she’ll head home to Manassas to join her older siblings, as the hospital celebrates both her arrival and its busy, expanding maternity services.
5. SBA Relief Still Available to Virginia Small Businesses and Private Nonprofits Affected by Drought (sba.gov) — Small businesses and private nonprofits in Manassas still have time to apply for low-interest SBA disaster loans tied to last year’s drought, with applications due by Feb. 2, 2026 and a 60‑day grace period afterward. Eligible organizations can seek up to $2 million for working capital needs like payroll, rent, and bills, even without physical damage.
