This Week: Pole Dancing Open House, Work on Manassas City's 2015 Forecast Begins

Plus, Project-Mend-A House is hosting a risk screening for seniors in Manassas Park

Doll House Poll Fitness is having its open house event Saturday. It all begins at noon with a poll dancing teaser class, followed by a fly gym teaser class at 12:30 p.m.  At 1 p.m. is the "doll" cardio teaser followed by the lyra aerial teaser at 1:30. All the classes are free. Doll House Poll Fitness is located at 10969 Lute Court in Manassas.  

The Prince William County Department of Parks and Recreation is offering free orientations at Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center until Oct. 15. The orientation is a way for new members to get acquainted with gym equipment they may not know how to operate. 

Manassas City Council members will discuss the 2015 five-year forecast with the city's budget manager Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Manassas City Hall. Immediately following the meeting, the city's finance committee will meet in the second floor conference room in the Manassas City Hall. 

Manassas Park's weekly farmers' market is this Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the parking lot of Manassas Park City Hall. The farmers' market continues until November. 

Curbside leaf collection begins Tuesday in Manassas Park. The city's public works department will collect leaves from the curbside each day until Dec. 13. Bagged leaves will be collected with the Wednesday trash. 

Project Mend-A-House will host its Fall Risk Screening for seniors on Tuesday from 10 to 2 p.m. at the Manassas Park Community Center at 99 Adams St. 
A pharmacist will be on hand to check medications while seniors have their gait, hearing, vision and balance checked by other medical professionals. Pre-registration is required for the event. To register contact Melody Cherry at 703-792-6402 or melody@pmahweb.org
