Police: Two Arrested in Malicious Wounding on Lomond Dr.
Two suspects accused of assaulting a 40-year-old Manassas man and cutting his ear with a knife Tuesday are now in custody.

Prince William County Police have arrested two suspects who reportedly assaulted a 40-year-old Manassas man and cut his ear with a knife Tuesday.
The incident took place Tuesday, Sept. 23 around 4:36 a.m. at the 10100 block of Lomond Drive in Manassas.
The victim, a 40-year-old Manassas man reportedly contacted police after he engaged in a verbal altercation with the accused. During the encounter, the accused reportedly assaulted the victim and retrieved a knife used to cut the victim’s ear. A second suspect reportedly assaulted the victim during the same encounter. All parties are known to one another, according to police.

Following the assault, the victim went to an area hospital for treatment where police were contacted. An investigation ensued and warrants were obtained against both suspects.
The initial assailant, Hector Manuel Burgoa-Serrano, turned himself into police without incident later the same day. The second suspect, Joel Barragan, was arrested following a vehicle stop.

Hector Manuel Burgoa-Serrano, 34, of Manassas, was charged with malicious wounding and destruction of property.
Joel Barragan, 21, of Manassas, was charged with assault & battery. Both court dates are set for Nov. 12 and bond is unavailable for both suspects.
