Gainesville Man Faces Charges Tied To Sexual Assault Of Minor

GAINESVILLE, VA — A man in Gainesville is facing charges related to a sexual assault of a minor girl, according to Prince William County Police.

Officers started investigating around 2:23 p.m. on July 10. Police say a family friend sexually assaulted the minor victim between June and July at a residence in Gainesville. The victim reported the incident to her family, who contacted police. Police made an arrest on July 11.

Ronald F. Wynkoop, Jr., was charged with aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties. He is being held without bond, and a court date is pending.
