VDOT: Route 29 in Gainesville to Close This Weekend
The project will be completed in December.

One direction of Route 29 in Gainesville will close to traffic on Friday at 10 p.m. as crews work to remove and replace a bridge, Virginia Department of Transportation officials said this week.
The closure area is just south of Linton Hall Road in western Prince William County. Message boards will be in the area during the closure to route drivers to Route 15, Heathcote Boulevard and Route 55. Prince William County Police will also be in the area to help with traffic flow.
The purpose of the work is to replace the bridge spanning the North Fork Broad Run.
