$2,000 in Supplies Stolen from Manassas Park Iron Dealer

Someone stole thousands in goods from Rick's Iron Works in July.

More than $2,000 in goods disappeared from Rick's Iron Works in Manassas Park over the course of about three days, Manassas Park Police said.

It happened sometime between 5 p.m. on July 20 and 1:30 p.m. Monday, the victim told police.

Welding leads, quick connects, grounding clamps, welding stingers, and electrical extension cords were stolen from two vehicles, a 2005 Ford utility truck and a 1991 GMC utility truck that were parked on the property.

The victim told police the theives probably wanted the items for their copper scrap value. The gates to the fence shop yard were locked and must have climbed the fence, the victim told investigators.

The missing items are valued at $2,901.42, according to police reports.
