Manassas Park High School graduate Katelyn Mullins is the recipient  of a $4,000 scholarship from Apple Federal Credit Union. Katelyn and several other students from the area received their scholarship money at a gala breakfast celebration in May, according to a release issued by Apple Federal. A total of $140,000 was awarded to 35 high school graduates from nine counties. The 35 scholars were selected from more than 400 applicants by a committee of 30 judges from Apple's membership base.
