Blotter: Teenagers Busted for Shoplifting Candy and Donuts

Some of the latest incidents reported in the Manassas Park Police jurisdiction.

Shoplifting: An employee at the Sheetz on Centreville Road reported on Thursday, just before 7 p.m., that two teenagers shoplifted $15 worth of candy and donuts.

Officers were able to find the two 13-year-old Manassas Park boys, who admitted to shoplifting and were taken to the station. Police released the teenagers into the custody of their parents. Petitions are pending for petit larceny. 

Petit larceny: A rusty Purple Trail Works mountain bike, valued at $20, was stolen from back porch on Madera Court sometime between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Grand larceny: An Apple iPad was stolen from an unlocked 2003 Ford parked at the Community Center sometime between 6:15 p.m. Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Possession of false documents: Officers stopped the driver of a 1997 Ford van for failure to obey a highway sign on Tuesday morning. The 19-year-old driver produced a false driver's license and was charged with no driver's license and possession of false documents, in addition to the traffic violation.
