Columbia Gas Rolls Out New Mobile Site

Mobile site makes it possible to pay gas and electric bills and view account info on the go.

Columbia Gas customers can now pay their bills and get vital safety information, all with a few finger movements on a mobile device.

The company unveiled its new mobile Website in early January that provides customer service information, a secure payment portal and other services.

“Our customers are increasingly ‘on the go,’ and they need easy and convenient ways to do business with us,” Columbia Gas President Carl Levander said in a press release.  “Our new mobile site allows customers to communicate with us no matter where they are."

Phone links make it easy to report a gas emergency or  call the company about digging near gas lines.

Customers with registered online accounts can log in, view their bills and payment dates and make free payments. Customers can make payments with credit or debit cards, if they have their account numbers.

The site also uses GPS, where available, to locate the nearest walk-in payment location.
