A Haymarket man was arrested Sunday after police said he was intoxicated and became combative when they tried to arrest him. Jamar Totio Martin,29, of Saint Paul Drive is charged with resisting arrest, two counts of assaulting a police officer and being intoxicated in public, Manassas Park Police reports show. It happened just after midnight on Sunday near Centreville Road and Manassas Drive when the suspect was walking unsteadily on his feet in the roadway. Police tried to arrest him on charges he was drunk in public, but the suspect began yelling and kicking them. Authorities scheduled a bond hearing for the Martin, but he was being too combative to attend, according to police reports. He is scheduled to again appear in court on March 15.
