Heat Advisory in Effect for Manassas Park
Remain well hydrated and indoors during soaring temperatures.

Manassas Park, Prince William County and most Northern Virginia are under a heat advisory from noon until 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS forecast calls for the heat index to be in the 100s.
"A heat advisory means that a period of excessive heat is expected. The combination of temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and high humidity will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. The elderly, young children and pets are most at risk," NWS officials said.
