Letter: Manassas Park Bus Drivers Save Students' Day
Parent says the bus drivers who work for Manassas Park City Schools came through when a charter bus company let the students down on Saturday, April 21.

Manassas Park Middle School had planned their annual music competition and awards trip at Kings Dominion.
Reservations were made with a bus company for six, Cyr- ype buses. Long story short, on Saturday (April 21), much to the music teachers dismay, six very dated and out-of-service school buses arrived.
Apparently, they had been hired by a third party the night before and sent to MPMS. The MPMS music department had paid for coach Cyr buses!! The old bait and switch!!

The music department teachers refused to let the 300-plus students, plus chaperones ride them for the trip. The kids ended up missing their music competition because of the dilemma!
The drivers were overheard saying that they had been called the night before. Pictures and video were taken of the buses.
The MPMS bus drivers, who are always on call, were contacted and saved the day. Cheers go out to our wonderful MPMS bus drivers!! They showed up with smiles and helpful attitudes. The music department made the best of the situation and continued the trip to Kings Dominion for the kids!!
I'd appreciate your inquiry to this matter!
Sincerely,
A Proud & Concerned Parent
