Manassas Park High Music Ensembles Hit High Notes in Competition

Music ensembles from Manassas Park High School traveled to Dorney Park in Allentown, Pa.  this month to compete in the Music in the Parks program.

The high school's concert choir received a first place excellent rating, while the chamber singers scored a first place excellent rating in their class, winning the overall best choir award, Manassas Park High band director Benjamin Williams said. 

The symphonic band received a second place superior rating in its category.

Both band and choirs received the prestigious “Esprit de Corps” Award for demonstrating proper social behavior, musical behavior and encouragement. This is the third year that Manassas Park High School has received the Esprit de Corp Award, he said.
