Manassas Park High Student Named King Day Celebration Finalists

Manassas Park High student Ebonee Johnson was selected as a finalists in the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Oratorical Competition.

Manassas Park High School student Ebonee Johnson is a finalist in the 22nd , Manassas Park High Principal Eric Doyle said Friday. 

Ebonee participated in the Regional Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Oratorical Competition Thursday evening and was selected as a high school finalist, he said.

 This year’s theme for the competition is, “The Power and Purpose of Education.”

She will speak before an audience and judges on Jan. 16 at the chapel.

The Youth Oratorical Competition is sponsored by the Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

The competition provides middle school and high school students from Manassas City, Manassas Park and Prince William County the opportunity to research, appreciate and demonstrate the passion and determination that is symbolized in Dr. King’s speeches.
