Manassas Park Man Died of Self-Inflicted Wounds

Medical Examiners office said a 41-year-old Manassas Park man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

A Manassas Park man found dead in his Adams Street home on Election Day died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds, according to the Virginia Medical Examiner's office.

Family and friends say the body of Ricky Lorenz was found in his home on the 100 block of Adams Street on Nov. 8.

Manassas Park Police, along with the Prince William County Police Department responded to the home and later said a 41-year-old man was found dead inside.

The death was reported as unattended, but wasn't considered suspicious, Manassas Park Police said in an earlier report. 

The case was turned over to the Virginia Medical Examiner's office but the cause and manner of Lorenz's death wasn't immediately released.

There are five manners of death:natural, accidental, suicide, undetermined or homicide.
