Manassas Park City Schools will hold two Head Start and VPI Pre-School Program Recruitment events this week. Pre-School is a free program for low-income families with children turning 4 by Sept. 30.  The first of these two events is Wednesday from 10 to 2 p.m. at , 9330 Brandon St. The second event is Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the school.  In addition to the child's birth certificate, parents should bring one of the following: <ul> <li>A current pay stub</li> <li>2011 tax form</li> <li>employer letter stating monthly earnings</li> </ul> Parent should also bring three of the following items: <ul> <li>Driver's license</li> <li>Car registration</li> <li>city sticker receipt</li> <li>water or sewer bill</li> <li>personal property tax bill </li> <li>current rental or lease agreement </li> </ul> For more information call Cougar Elementary at 703-392-1317
