Police: Gainesville Company Robbed of Its Copper Piping
Two men are accused of stealing copper piping from Atlantic Research Corp. on Wellington Road in Gainesville.
Two men were caught in the act as they prepared to pickup a large amount of copper piping stolen from a Gainesville corporation, Prince William County police investigators said.
Christoper James MacMillian, 41, and Matthew Lee MacMillian,19, of Hillcrest Drive in Manassas are both charged with burglary, grand larceny with intent to sell and destruction of property, Prince William County Police reports show.
It happened Monday when detectives from the PWC Police Property Crimes Unit were told about two suspicious people lurking around Atlantic Research Corp., a Wellington Road company that makes rocket motors and gas generators.

Police later stopped a car with the two suspects inside and discovered the men had removed a large about of copper piping from the facility and placed it in an area where they were about to pick it up.
The were both arrested.
