Police:Thieves Steal Tires, Rims from Vehicle
The 1983 Oldsmobile was found sitting on asphalt chunks.

Investigators are trying to determine who stole the tires, rims and stereo equipment from a 1983 Oldsmobile and left the car sitting on blocks, according to Manassas Park Police reports.
It happened sometime between 9 p.m. on April 7 and 8:30 a.m. on April 8 at 8393 Euclid Ave.
A Manassas Park Police officer on routine patrol noticed the car sitting on chunks of asphalt taken from the curb of a nearby parking lot.

On the afternoon of April 8, an Advance Pro employee called police and said someone had stolen four tires, four 20-inch chrome rims with gold-center caps from the car. The stolen goods are worth about $2,000, police said.
Someone also forced the trunk of the car open and stole stereo equipment, including subwoofers and amplifiers worth $5,000, Manassas Park Police reports show.

The victim showed investigators receipts for the stolen items, police said.
The case remains under investigation. Police haven't yet made any arrests.
