Federal offices in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland are closed today due to the winter weather moving through the area.  The U.S. Office of Personnel Management announced its decision at 3:30 a.m Wednesday to call off work for federal employees in the Washington metro. Personnel staff said on Tuesday they would make a decision about federal work hours by 4 a.m. Wednesday. Emergency and telework federal employees must follow their agencies' policies.  Stay with Patch for more information as more closures and delays are announced. The City of Manassas is on liberal leave for nonessential employees.
