Winter Pool Party is Saturday in Manassas Park

The pool is probably the last place you would think of heading in the dead of December, but that's the plan this Saturday for many Manassas-area families.

The Welcome to Winter Pool Party is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Manassas Park Community Center.

The event mixes fun with safety by offering water games such as limbo, water tag and swim races as well as swimming level-evaluations by a swim instructor, community city staff said.

The ever-present holiday spirit is also a main part of the event; holiday music and crafts will also be on hand Saturday.
