20 McLean Companies On List Of Startups To Watch

Twenty startups based in the McLean area made the 2023 Inc. 5000 list, which highlighted the companies' revenue growth from 2019 to 2022.

MCLEAN, VA — Several startups with roots in the McLean area are worth keeping an eye on as they respond to some of the nation’s most vexing problems, Inc. magazine said with the release of its 2023 Inc. 5000 list.

The startup companies were ranked by revenue growth from 2019 to 2022. To be considered, they had to have earned at least $100,000 in 2019 and grown that to at least $2 million by the end of 2022. To be considered, the companies must have been up and generating revenue by March 31, 2019.

  • Main Digital, a business products and services company, grew by 2,361 percent during the three years and ranked 237th nationally.
  • Cboe Vest, a financial services company, grew by 1,266 percent during the three years and ranked 453rd nationally.
  • Hive Group, a government services company, grew by 1,144 percent during the three years and ranked 513th nationally.
  • Eagan Immigration PLLC, a legal services firm, grew by 1,089 percent during the three years and ranked 538th nationally.
  • ShiftMed, a health services company, grew by 942 percent during the three years and ranked 622nd nationally.
  • PBG Consulting, an IT services firm, grew by 421 percent during the three years and ranked 1,384th nationally.
  • Saliense Consulting, an engineering firm, grew by 386 percent during the three years and ranked 1,488th nationally.
  • AgileEngine, a software company, grew by 206 percent during the three years and ranked 2,622nd nationally.
  • CACG, an IT services company, grew by 179 percent during the three years and ranked 2,925th nationally.

The Inc. 5000 companies had combined revenues of $358.2 billion, added nearly 1.2 million jobs and grew at a median rate of 219 percent. The list featured 638 newly founded companies and 3,047 repeat honorees.
