20 Vehicles Broken Into Since January In This NoVA Neighborhood
Since January, someone has broken into 20 vehicles in one Northern Virginia neighborhood, stealing items and damaging property, police say.

MCLEAN, VA — Fairfax County Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man they say is responsible for 20 instances of larceny and/or destruction of property involving vehicles parked in the McLean area over the last four months.
In the first incident, officers responded around 5:40 a.m. on Jan. 5 to the Westbranch Drive and Westpark Drive intersection to investigate a destruction of property report, according to police.
During their investigation, the officers identified additional vehicles parked on neighboring streets that someone had broken into, police say. Items had also been stolen from some of the vehicles.

FCPD officers from the McLean District Station have responded multiple times to similar reports of someone causing damage to and stealing items from vehicles in the same area, according to police. The most recent incident occurred on April 6.

On Thursday, detectives released photos of a suspect in this case, who they say used stolen credit cards Feb. 9 and April 6 at a convenience store on in the 7500 block of Leesburg Pike in Idylwood.
