Beltway Tonight: Most Lanes Closed in Tysons Corner, Up to 15 Minute Total Closures

Three  Lanes of Northbound and Southbound I-495 Closed Tonight 

The Beltway (Route 495) in Tysons Corner may be closed down periodically tonight for up to 15 minutes as crews building the new subway line construction the tracks over the Beltway. The three left lanes of both northbound and southbound I-495 will close tonight from 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
 
The northbound closures will stretch from Oak Street to Route 123, and the southbound closures will occur between Lewinsville Road and Route 123

Eastbound Tysons Boulevard to Close Friday, Saturday Nights

The eastbound lanes of Tysons Boulevard will be closed between Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) and Galleria Drive Friday and Saturday nights, Nov. 4-5, for overhead bridge, pier and station work near the future Tysons Central 123 station.
 
This will also require the closures of the turn lanes on to eastbound Tysons Boulevard from northbound Chain Bridge Road (Route 123), and northbound and southbound Galleria Drive. Generally, these lane closures will begin to be implemented at 9:30 p.m. each night, and will be lifted between 5 and 9 a.m. each following morning.
 
Detours will be in place. Drivers should use extreme caution, pay attention to signage, and obey police direction if traveling around this intersection.
 
Overnight Flagging Operation on Frontage Road at Route 7
 
The Frontage Road connecting southbound Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) and westbound Leesburg Pike (Route 7) will be controlled by flaggers from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights, Oct. 31-Nov. 3, and from 9:30 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
 
The flagging crews will be in place from approximately 500 feet to 1,000 feet north of Route 7. Dulles Metro crews will be preparing for utility work.
 
Businesses open after 9:30 p.m. (e.g. Clyde's) should be aware of this work, and notify their employees and customers.
 
Safety Alert: Flaggers on Magarity Road at Dulles Connector Road Overpass
 
Drivers who use Magarity Road in the McLean/Falls Church area should be aware that flaggers will control thru traffic under the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) overpass next week as bridge construction occurs over the roadway.

Flaggers will be in that location Monday, Oct. 31 - Thursday, Nov. 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 4, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Please be alert and use extreme caution when using this stretch of Magarity Road.

Other Disruptions

Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Friday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west
