Now Open in McLean: Cava Grill at McLean Shopping Center

McLEAN, VA -- Serving up Mediterranean fare in a fast-casual atmosphere, Cava Grill will open its doors in McLean Tuesday, Oct. 11 at McLean Shopping Center, the company recently announced. In keeping with Cava Grill’s opening day tradition, the public is invited to celebrate the new location with Community Lunch, where grain bowls, salads, and pitas will be complimentary from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Guests of Cava’s Community Lunch are encouraged to donate to Cava’s regional non-profit partner, City Blossoms, which champions healthy eating through garden-based learning for youths in the DC-area.

The restaurant's menu will include a variety of rotating seasonal favorites including house-made juices and teas, roasted vegetables and soups, among other Mediterranean recipes. After its grand opening, the restaurant will be open for regular business daily from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. The location, next door to McLean Hardware, at 1445C Chain Bridge Road (see map below), will have seating for 79.

Cava Grill’s new locations feature the restaurant’s fresh look, with:

• An expanded open-kitchen layout
• Local beer and wine on tap
• New menu items including seasonal vegetables roasted in Cava’s new stone-fired ovens
• Rotating seasonal soups, juices, and teas made in-house daily
• Products from local partners like local bakery Whisked!, Gordy’s Pickle Jar and RunningByrd Tea

Other nearby locations for the popular Mediterranean eatery include Mosaic District, Alexandria, National Airport, Ashburn, Fairfax and Gainesville.

Cava was founded 10 years ago in the DC-area by three childhood friends, Ike Grigoropoulos, Ted Xenohristos, and Dimitri Moshovitis. In the past year Cava has expanded nationally with locations in the Los Angeles area and their first New York City location in the Union Square area.
