Colvin Run Mill Wins $75,000 Grant in Contest
Colvin Run Mill was a competitor in the Partners in Preservation grant program.

Colvin Run Mill won a $75,000 grant in the Partners in Preservation grant competition that ended Friday.
Colvin Run Mill was one of about two dozen finalists in the DC metro area historic preservation grant contest, which included public voting via Facebook, Foursquare check-ins, Tweets and online voting.
The $75,000 will be used, in part, to restore the 18th century grain elevator to working order.

Partners in Preservation was a joint venture of American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
More information on the grant competition is available at www.partnersinpreservation.com. The grand prize grant winner was the Washington National Cathedral in DC.
