Dranesville Supervisor, School Board Candidate Debates In McLean
The McLean Citizens Association is hosting debates for Dranesville District supervisor and school board member on Thursday, Oct. 12.

MCLEAN, VA — The McLean Citizens Association is hosting debates for Dranesville District supervisor and Dranesville District school board member on Oct. 12 at the McLean Community Center.
The candidates’ forum begins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, with a debate between Dranesville District supervisor candidates Puneet Ahluwalia (R) and Jimmy Bierman (D). The school board debate between Robyn Lady and Paul Bartkowski will follow the supervisors’ debate. Each debate will last 45 minutes.
Current Dranesville District Supervisor John Foust decided not to see re-election to a fifth term in office.

Current Dranesville District School Board member Elaine Tholen also decided not to seek re-election to the school board for a second term. Tholen is serving as chair of the Fairfax County School Board through the end of 2023.
The MCC’s Community Hall doors will open at 7 p.m. on Oct. 12. The debate will also be held via Zoom for residents who cannot attend in person.
