UPDATE: Fahrenheit Asian Hot Soups Restaurant Reschedules Opening in McLean

Fahrenheit will likely be opening next week on Dolley Madison Boulevard in McLean instead of Friday.

A restaurant called Fahrenheit Asian Hot Soups, serving up an Asian fusion menu, is postponing its opening in McLean, according to owner Lilly Qin, a McLean resident. Instead of opening Friday, it will likely be next weekend.

Qin, a wife and mom, notes this is her first foray into owning and running a restaurant, but she grew up in the business and wants to bring something new to the McLean dining scene. The space at 1313 Dolley Madison Blvd., #103, has undergone renovations, she said.

The hours at Fahrenheit will be 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch and 5-8:30 p.m.for dinner.

Qin said she expects her restaurant to be especially busy at lunchtime and on weekends and is expecting to cater to McLean residents who don't want to get stuck in traffic driving to Tysons or elsewhere to try something new for lunch or dinner.

She plans to work with farmers and vendors in Virginia and Maryland to keep the cuisine she serves as fresh and local as possible, she said. Plans also call for serving beer and wine. Qin said the restaurant will seat between 20-30 diners.
