Former U.S. VP, McLean Neighbor Dick Cheney Starts Marketing His Memoir
Attacks another McLean neighbor

Feisty McLean neighbor Dick Cheney, vice-president of the U.S. to President George W. Bush, starts the blitz surrounding his 576-page memoir, “In My Time,” Monday, according to The New York Times.
No surprise, Cheney has already picked a fight with another McLean neighbor, former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
"He wrote that he believes that Secretary of State Colin L. Powell tried to undermine President Bush by privately expressing doubts about the Iraq war, and he confirms that he pushed to have Mr. Powell removed from the cabinet after the 2004 election," according to the Times.

You can catch our neighbor in his first TV interview on the book Monday night on NBC, the Times reported.
Cheney and his wife, Lynne, are long-time McLean residents. They formerly lived in the expensive condominiums on Dolley Madison Boulevard. Then they moved to the vice president's mansion in Washington, D.C.

They picked a lot on Chain Bridge Road a stone's throw from Hickory Hill to build their retirement home. Some McLean neighbors reported seeing the vice president and his wife in the early morning hours inspecting their new home as it was under construction. They were accompanied by the U.S. Secret Service, of course.
Neighbors never saw any apparent security but there were large "Keep Out" signs. You knew you didn't want to venture in.
The house, assessed at $3.3 million, has nearly 8,000 square feet of space, four bedrooms, six baths and four fireplaces.
His neighbors include WJLA-TV weatherman Bob Ryan, Real Housewives of D.C. star Mary S. Amons and former Solicitor General Robert Bork.
