Former Vice President Dan Quayle Selling McLean Home (ICYMI)
Quayle originally bought the home in 1977 when he was elected to Congress, and he and his wife will sell it at an auction on Sept. 16.

Former U.S. Vice President Dan Quayle has announced he and his wife, Marilyn, are selling their McLean home at an upcoming auction on Sept. 16. This story was first reported by Virginia Business.
The home, located on 1013 Union Church Road, has five bedrooms and 4,500 square feet of space on a 1.8 acre lot that includes an in-ground pool in the backyard.
The Washington Business Journal reported Quayle originally purchased the home in 1977 for $125,000 when he was first elected to Congress. Virginia Business said the home was most recently listed at $1.5 million and that the opening bid at the auction will be $650,000.

An open house will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 1-3 p.m.
Quayle served as George H. W. Bush’s vice president during his lone term in office from January 1989 to January 1993.
