The pictures accompanying our report this morning are from a 9-11 Memorial project organized by Langley High students. Alicia Underhill, one of the organizers sent this story with the pictures:

We are the Langley High School Young Republicans club that worked Saturday from 12:30-5pm  putting up our memorial of 2,958 flags (one for every American that died in the September 11th attacks) that spelled out "9/11".

 We also painted our school's rock with the words "Never Forget" which is the name of the project that we are working with.

 It was really important for us to do this not only for the club, but for Langley High School as a whole, to show that we too as students will always remember that fateful day.

 Being only in second grade myself when the attacks occurred, I feel like my age group is the last to remember what actually happened. We want to show that we too will never forget, and that we are proud to stand up next to our fellow Americans and show that the American spirit will never be broken.
