Great Falls Street Walkway Community Information Meeting Set for September 13
The Fairfax County DOT will present a preliminary design for the project and accept community feedback.

From Fairfax County:
FALLS CHURCH, VA - Dranesville Supervisor John Foust and the Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) will host a Citizens Information Meeting to discuss County project 5G25-060-042, Great Falls Street Walkway from North West Street to Osborn Street, on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, 7 p.m., in the cafeteria of Haycock Elementary School, 6616 Haycock Road, Falls Church, Va. This project will construct new curb, gutter, sidewalks and drainage improvements along Great Falls Street.
The initial scope for this project was to provide a sidewalk on the east side of Great Falls Street. Based on feedback received at the community meeting on March 30, 2016, the County has evaluated locating the sidewalk on the west side of the street between North West Street and Woodland Drive. FCDOT will present a preliminary design of this project revision at the meeting on September 13, and the public will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input to help determine a preferred alternative.
