Langley High School Employee Seen Masturbating Under Classroom Desk By Student: Police

A Langely High School instructional assistant was arrested after a student reported seeing him masturbing under his desk, police say.

MCLEAN, VA — An instructional assistant at Langley High School faces multiple charges, including contributing to the delinquency of a minor, after a student told school officials they saw him masturbating in a classroom, according to Fairfax County Police.

School administrators notified the school resource officer about the incident, which happened during school hours on Oct. 11.

Investigators said David Scalea, 40, of Great Falls. was inappropriately touching himself underneath his desk, which a student noticed. No students were reported to have been physically harmed.

Police arrested Scalea, charging him with obscene sexual display and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to a release.

Fairfax County Public Schools placed Scalea, who has been an instructional assistant in the school system since 2020, on administrative leave, according to reports. He was then held without bond in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
