McLean Man Faces Charges After Fleeing Officer at Tysons Shopping Center: Police

The 52-year old McLean resident faces multiple charges after traffic stop near Tysons Shopping Center, police said.

McLEAN, VA -- Fairfax County Police say a McLean man is facing charges after he led them on a chase Saturday afternoon, after leaving Tysons Corner Center.

The incident took place at about 3:12 p.m. when a shopping center security guard notified police officers of a man that they say stole merchandise and fled the store. An officer located the suspect and vehicle nearby and attempted to make a traffic stop, police said.

The suspect fled but was apprehended shortly thereafter. Garrett Keene, 52, of McLean, was arrested and charged with two counts of grand larceny, possession of burglarious tools, possession of a schedule I narcotic, disregarding signal by law enforcement to stop and larceny with the intent to sell or distribute; sale of stolen property.
